Sitting at the mouth of the St. Lawrence River, the Gaspé Peninsula feels like the end of the Earth, as well as Canada’s last frontier. Out here, you’ll hear it almost exclusively referred to by its French name, La Gaspésie.

Where the Appalachian Mountains meet the Atlantic Ocean, La Gaspésie is a breathtaking outdoor paradise, both on land and on the water. It’s part California Coast, part Downeast Maine, all intertwined with French culture and its own unique beauty. You’ll find four spectacular national parks on the peninsula, and a fifth just off of it. Whether you’re into hiking, scuba diving, winter sports, or wildlife safaris, La Gaspésie features a diverse array of activities year round. And that doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface.

We’ve come to La Gaspésie not just to experience it, but to embark on a bilingual adventure to help bridge the gap between English and French. Our goal is to create an inclusive and memorable experience for all ages, no matter which language you speak.

You’ll get to explore the national parks, many of the quaint little towns that dot the peninsula, and even chase the Northern Lights. Circumnavigate La Gaspésie on Highway 132, a road so spectacular National Geographic included it on its list of Canada’s Adventures of a Lifetime. Wrap up your adventure in Québec City, where you’ll spend a few days soaking in a little bit of Europe in North America.

Every piece of content we publish from La Gaspésie will be available in both English and French.
