Welcome! We are Dani and Matt, two best friends who share a deep passion for adventure, the outdoors, and nature. Three decades of combined travel experience have taken us to nearly every continent, as well as 49 of the 50 U.S. states. But that only drives us to get off the beaten path and push deeper into new experiences and destinations.
On Pangea, we don’t just want to inspire you to travel responsibly, get out in nature, and expand your horizons. We also want to teach you how to tell the stories of your adventures. Storytelling lets you can build inclusive communities both at home and abroad. Travel educates you in ways textbooks, lectures, and day-to-day life simply can’t. It makes you a more understanding, well-rounded, and ultimately better person.
But it’s not until you put us together that we really stand out! What separates us from other travel bloggers is how perfectly our experiences and skillsets compliment each other. It gives us an incredible wealth of knowledge to share so you can realize your own travel dreams. Danielle Cordani
Dani's career as a bat biologist has allowed her to travel to exotic destinations all over the world. But the reasons she travels go so much further than that. Outside of work, she brings well over a decade of international and domestic travel experience, including an expertise in solo female travel. Solo travel is an incredibly satisfying journey of self-discovery. Stepping outside of your comfort zone, particularly in a foreign country, teaches you new skills you'll use for the rest of your life.
Additionally, Dani is an avid scuba diver and photographer. Her passion for nature and wildlife is contagious. She looks forward to sharing her own travel experiences and inspiring you to find your next adventure, immerse yourself in new experiences, and much more.
Matt Gove
Matt first caught the adventure bug chasing and photographing tornadoes as a meteorology student at the University of Oklahoma. But what really hooked him on the international aspect of travel was when he started making routine trips to Mexico after moving to Arizona. Looking at your home country from the other side of the border broadens your global outlook and allows you to bring fresh, new perspectives home.
Over the nearly 20 years he has been doing photography and video, his adventures have taken him to nearly every corner of North America and the Caribbean. After the COVID-19 lockdowns took away his travel and photography adventures, he set his sights on the biggest adventure yet: to travel and experience the world full-time.
